Are you tired of English classes that make you study haiku and Jane Austen when you really just want to write a business plan?
Or are you an experienced writer who wants to skip another repetitive grammar class so that you can get feedback on your novel-in-progress?
Maybe you love writing fiction, but need to learn how to write a research paper?
Rise Out writing classes are divided into modules that concentrate on what YOU want to study.
We offer short-term, self-paced courses on a variety of writing topics, including technical writing, the five-paragraph essay, fiction, memoir, research writing, grant writing, public speaking, and more.
How it works:
All classes are entirely online. Once you are enrolled, you and a parent will have one phone conversation with the course instructor so that you can make sure you are all on the same page in terms of goals and objectives. After these priorities are established, you will work through the course and receive personalized feedback on each assignment from your course instructor. There are no deadlines or class meetings, so work at your own pace.
Details:
"Professional Communication" is required of all students. You may take this as a standalone course, or as a pre-requisite to any of the other Rise Out writing courses.
Suggested age range: 13+. Don't worry about where you think you would be or should be, if you were in school. Your instructor knows that it's common for homeschoolers to write several years above or below their grade level.
