When you become a Rise Out member, you get access to loads of Rise Out course content, so you can take our classes even if the “live” (teacher-led) versions don’t fit into your current schedule.
More importantly, you join a virtual community of other homeschooled high school students.
Why does this matter?
While homeschooled high schoolers have tremendous freedom in designing an eclectic educational program, it can be hard to form a stable cohort of friends who will still be around when a single class or activity has run its course. When you join Rise Out, you gain the opportunity to take virtual classes with the same small group over several years — and the friends you make don’t disappear once a class is finished.
It can also be a challenge to prepare for college without access to a guidance counselor who is up to date on the college application process. (Even parents who are familiar with this process might be busy — with work, for example, or with homeschooling younger siblings.) Teenagers who go to school have regular meetings with their guidance team, and they pick up even more information from informal chats with other students during lunch, study hall, and afterschool activities. Getting access to that kind of information is important for students who are rising out of high school and transitioning into adulthood. Rise Out replicates that process by offering individualized college prep meetings with students and their parents, and by giving students ample opportunities to socialize with each other informally, including over winter and summer breaks.

Premium Membership is $125/month per student or $175/month per family.
(And because we actually get this question quite often: YES, a “family” membership includes parents, so parents are welcome to enroll in our self-paced classes!)
If a membership is not right for you at this time, students may sign up for classes individually.
Costs too high? Rise Out waives fees for families in certain circumstances. See our waiver policy. (Note that the payment plan policy does not apply to memberships, since memberships and payment plans are functionally equivalent.)

*The live class discount applies to The Oxford Comma and most Friday classes, but there will be some exceptions. Specifically, this discount does not apply to SELFIE.
